When Pain Demands Revenge

The story of Yusuf (AS) shows what can happen when wounded emotions take control. The minister’s wife experienced rejection as humiliation. Her goal was no longer simply to deal with the situation. She wanted Yusuf (AS) to suffer because she had suffered. That is what happens when feelings become the authority. Justice no longer feels sufficient. Revenge begins to feel necessary.
