The Idols We Carry in Our Minds
وصف المقطع
When Ibrahim (AS) asked his people about their tamathil (statues), he was not only asking about physical statues. He was questioning the representations they had attached meaning to. A statue may look like stone, but in someone’s mind it represents power, success, safety, or control. That question is not only for the people of Ibrahim (AS). It is for us too. What representations have we built in our minds? What ideas are we devoted to without even realizing it? Taken from our YouTube video: "The Idols of Our Time (Prophet Ibrahim’s Legacy)"

I swear by God that I only speak out because of hunger, poverty, and dire circumstances. My younger siblings and I have gone three days without food. Every hour, our landlord knocks, demanding rent and threatening to throw us out onto the street if we do not pay. O people with compassionate hearts—I swear by the One who raised the heavens and spread out the earth—there is not even a single day’s worth of food in our home; we are suffering immensely, relying only on the occasional help of neighbo
