When Feelings Reject the Truth

Sometimes knowledge is not the problem. A person may know what Allah says, understand what is right and still refuse to change because the truth challenges how they feel. An Ayah may ask us to let go of revenge, lower our pride, change our tone, stop backbiting or admit that we were wrong. At that point, simply knowing the truth is not enough. The real test is whether we allow Allah’s guidance to correct our feelings, or allow our feelings to overrule what we already know is right.
